After arriving back in the States, celebrating Thanksgiving with the fam, and getting back on a Central Time sleep schedule, I got my eyelashes done for the first time, and I absolutely love them! They were so curly when I first got them it took me a little while to get adjusted to the surprising length and curliness. However, I will definitely do the maintenance to keep these bad boys up!
You save so much time in the mornings because you don’t need eyeliner anymore, your eyes look dramatic and polished enough! You don’t need to apply mascara either. I find I don’t even need eyeshadow to feel pretty put together. So then it just comes down to a quick moisturizer-foundation-contour-finishing spray routine and a bit of blush and lipgloss! In all it’s cut my daily time on makeup down from 10 min to 5! Think about how much time that adds up to in a month! Plus it’s so relaxing to go in and essentially meditate in the chair while the technician touches up your lashes. Kinda reminds me of a massage – just with less pressure. The chair is SO COMFY and the music is so chill. I have a really great time at the lash studio!
Less fuss, more fabulous! You don’t have to go out and restock your falsies, and you don’t have to stress about lining your eyelash strips up perfectly on your lids or blending them with your natural lashes! You also don’t have to worry about them coming out during your sweaty workout sessions (or, if you’re like me, and you have really efficient vascular and excretory systems, just the profuse sweat that happens during shifts at the club). Crying is also a non-issue.
Cost is a bit pricey. However if your looks matter for your living and/or your state of mind I personally think it saves you a crap ton of time and effort. You also have to schedule an appointment every 2-3 weeks to keep your lashes up. Personally I don’t mind this since I schedule my sessions now on my personal weekly pamper day, so it’s not invading my productivity at all.
Prices for installation and maintenance:
First appointment: $165
Lash Extension-friendly Eyeliner: $15
Lash Secure Serum (takes the strain off the adhesive they mount your extensions with): $20
Maintenance appointment: $85 (for 3-D, luscious, long and voluminous hybrid lashes!)
